In addition to restoring Richard VanGrunsven’s historical significant aircraft, Friends of the RV-1 has adopted the Eagles Next project – a teen build/fly project that utilizes the Van’s RV-12. We are not alone in recognizing the value of lighting the spark with a new generation of pilots, mechanics, designers, and builders and envision additional build/fly projects across the country.  We are also involved in sponsoring a new EAA Homebuilt Center that will be dedicated to Mr. VanGrunsven at AirVenture.
