The RV-1 spent a relaxing few days in Savannah Georgia with James Clark and the EAA Chapter 1514 folks. The turn-out was great! Tom Swearengen, owner of TS Flightlines (and sponsor to Friends of the RV-1) to the opportunity for a picture with the historic little plane. James Clark gave a talk on the history and restoration of the RV-1 which accompanies the story “in his own words” from Richard VanGrunsven.
Bob McDonald, president of EAA Chapter 1514 along with the chapter members gave James a warm welcome and plenty to talk about with their questions following the presentation.

Following the stop in Savannah, James and RV-1 made its way to Columbia South Carolina and then on to Stanly County North Carolina. Weather permitting, it will be on to Suffolk Virginia and the Festival of Flight for the weekend of April 28 & 29 !
