The RV-1 and it’s Roots

The RV-1 travels from it's birthplace in Oregon to its pampered retirement at EAA Oshkosh. It's makes the trip with the newest (for now) Van's Aircraft, the RV-12. But at this stop, the RV-1 gets a photo opportunity with its roots – a beautify Stitts Playboy.

I got this address from Sept. ‘Briefing’ in Aviation History. I’m wondering if your Paul Dye is the same one I knew in Venezuela in the 1970s. I participated with him in least one exciting adventure when a new tribe was discovered. Then followed some of his other adventures in Colombia, etc.. I now live about two miles from the Aurora Airport where the Van kits are built. I would sure like to contact him. Thanks for the help.
